Our rustic Santa is made from hand dyed wool, which has been appliqued onto
100% Cotton Prairie Cloth. Prairie Cloth is a product of Moda and
United Notions. The texture is much like a coarse linen. Very easy to
stitch, and earthy. We put our Santa into a beautiful barn wood frame.
We measured the opening in the frame, and cut a piece of foam board to those dimensions. We simply allowed for enough background fabric to be wrapped around the board. Next, we stapled the backing fabric to the board.

vintage style crazy pieced Christmas stocking is fun to make! The
stocking is stitched onto a foundation, much like paper piecing. Each
piece is quilted as you go. Embellish with wool applique and
embroidery.
